She made a vow to herself that she would return to filmmaking when the tools were available to provide more autonomy of the entire filmmaking process.

Stacie then went into the service/entertainment industry. After working at several restaurants and bars in Chicago she became General Manager of The Hot House, a world music, performing arts center, from 1999-2000. Here, Stacie worked with some of the most iconic world music performers of a generation.  The Hot House was a formative time where Stacie honed her business and negotiation skills.

After the Hot House, In 2002 Stacie got married, started a family, and soon after moved to Minneapolis. Now with her son approaching adulthood, she is poised to be a consummate community advocate, and a strong creative force in the Twin Cities community and throughout the world.

In 2016 Stacie was one of three people tasked with spearheading the name change for Ramsey Middle School to the Justice Page Middle School. This was an amazing recognition of a true Minnesota legend and an important healing gesture for all people of Minnesota. This was a student led initiative, and their model is now being replicated at more schools throughout the MPS district.

In 2019 Stacie was one of four producers for the short feature, “Little Men”, filmed locally within the Twin Cities, and has gone on to win 21 awards and honorable mentions, in festivals across the globe.

In December of 2019 Stacie and Mankwe Ndosi produced “Great Black Music Monday’s”, a music residency presented every Monday, for the full month of December, at Ice House in Minneapolis. This series was well received by both local music critics and audiences alike.

In October of 2020 Stacie acquired a permanent home for the new Sovereign Hues Studios, which is located at an iconic Uptown Minneapolis location. Here she will build a film, video, animation, and motion capture studio, with a community and education focused initiative.

In November of 2020, Stacie commissioned the Justice Page Mural Class to provide a mural, for the “Sovereign Hues Revolving & Evolving Mural Project”. The theme, ‘KNOW JUSTICE, KNOW PEACE’ was chosen by Stacie, as a basis for communal reflection of these harrowing times.

On December 16, 2020, the unveiling of the beautiful mural commenced.
